Dr. Kania is a Specialist in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases. He holds the position of senior assistant in the Department of Pulmonology, II Chair of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Jagiellonian University Medical College, Krakow.
He graduated PhD studies in the field of internal medicine with honors in 2007. He has been widely interested in the issues of pulmonary diseases since 1999, combining acquired professional skills with a passionate interest.
The treatment of sleep apnea and respiratory failure using non-invasive mechanical ventilation methods is a major area of professional interest to Dr. Kania.
He was the first in the University Hospital in Krakow to establish a unit for the diagnosis of respiratory disorders during sleep. He constantly seeks to improve his qualifications. He has held numerous internships at McMaster University, Canada and Leiden University Medical Centre, Netherlands.

He is a Secratary and a Chairman of Intensive Care and Rehabilitation Assembly of Polish Respiratory Society.
He completed certified courses in the diagnosis of breathing disorders during sleep, organized by the European Respiratory Society and many other training programmes (both Polish and international) concerning sleep apnea and non-invasive mechanical ventilation treatment.
He shares his medical knowledge and professional experience in the field of his main interests with both students and physicians.
